Baccarat might look sophisticated, but the rules are actually simpler than most card games. Here is everything you need to know before placing your first bet on CZ 777.
Each round starts with two hands — one for the Banker and one for the Player. Both hands receive two cards initially from a standard 8-deck shoe.
Aces count as 1. Cards 2 through 9 are face value. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings are all worth 0. Only the last digit of the total counts — so 15 becomes 5.
If either hand totals 8 or 9 with the first two cards, it is a Natural and no more cards are drawn. The higher hand wins immediately.
If no Natural occurs, drawing rules determine if a third card is dealt. The Player draws on 0–5. The Banker draws based on their total and the Player's third card. These rules are automatic — you do not need to memorise them.
The hand closest to 9 wins the round. Banker pays 0.95:1 due to a 5% commission. Player pays 1:1. Tie pays 8:1 but has a high house edge.
